Helping Make a Difference in the Classroom
Teachers do so much for our communities, often going above and beyond to make sure their students have the resources they need.
That’s why OMEGA created Cash for Class, a grant program for educators who need a little extra help supporting their classrooms.
Through Cash for Class, educators in the OMEGA field of membership (Allegheny or Washington Counties) can apply for financial assistance to help purchase classroom supplies, educational materials, technology, books, project materials and other resources that directly benefit their students. Grants are issued from $500 - $3,000 per applicant.
Whether you need basic classroom supplies, materials for a special project, books for your classroom library, or something that will help create a better learning environment, OMEGA wants to help you get the resources you need.
At OMEGA, we believe that supporting our members means supporting the communities they call home.
Cash for Class is one small way we can say thank you to the educators who invest in our children every day.
Who Can Apply?
Cash for Class is open to educators within the OMEGA field of membership (Allegheny or Washington Counties) serving students in a K–12 educational setting.
What Can the Grant Be Used For?
Grant funds may be used for educational materials and resources that directly support students and classroom learning, including:
- Classroom supplies
- Books and educational materials
- Art and craft supplies
- STEM and hands-on learning materials
- Classroom projects
- Educational games and manipulatives
- Technology and technology accessories
- Special classroom activities
- Materials supporting special education or unique learning needs.
Funds may not be used for personal expenses, salaries or stipends, or items that do not directly support classroom learning.
